Service Description

508 Creative Academy Filmmaking Camp is a 6-week, hands-on filmmaking experience designed for young creatives ages 12–17. Students won’t just learn about filmmaking—they’ll make a film. Working together as a production crew, students will take a project from idea to screen while learning storytelling, camera operation, composition, lighting, audio, directing, production, and video editing. Students will have the opportunity to work with professional cameras, lighting, audio, and filmmaking equipment while learning directly from an experienced filmmaker and former high school video production teacher. Over the six weeks, students will: * Develop and write a short-film concept * Learn professional camera, lighting, and audio techniques * Shoot their film as a production crew * Edit and finish the project * Premiere their completed film for family and friends No previous filmmaking experience is required.
