What began in Classroom 508 grew into a vision for something much bigger. Through years of teaching media production, filmmaking, photography, and storytelling, we witnessed firsthand how creative education could transform students’ confidence, unlock hidden talents, and open doors to new opportunities.
Today, 508 Foundation carries that mission beyond the classroom.
We provide hands-on programs that empower youth through filmmaking, photography, digital media, leadership, mentorship, and community engagement. Whether a student dreams of becoming a filmmaker, entrepreneur, photographer, athlete, or simply wants to discover a new passion, our goal is to create an environment where every participant is encouraged to explore, create, and grow.

We are building toward Studio 508—a community creative hub where youth, creators, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs can learn, collaborate, and create together.

Meet Our Founder
A good teacher changes a classroom. A great mentor changes lives.
Hi, I’m Rob Giampapa, founder of the 508 Foundation.
For years, I had the privilege of teaching media production, filmmaking, photography, and digital storytelling to high school students in Classroom 508. During that time, I watched students who had never picked up a camera discover confidence, creativity, leadership, and purpose through the power of storytelling.
Outside the classroom, I’ve spent my career as a professional photographer, filmmaker, and creative entrepreneur, working with businesses, athletes, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations. Those experiences reinforced a simple belief: when young people are given access to professional tools, mentorship, and encouragement, they are capable of extraordinary things.
The 508 Foundation was created to extend those opportunities beyond the classroom. My goal is to build a community where every young person—regardless of background—has the chance to create, learn, and grow through hands-on creative education.
