About the event
508 Creative Academy Filmmaking Camp is a 6-week, hands-on filmmaking experience designed for young creatives ages 12–17.
Students won’t just learn about filmmaking—they’ll make a film. Working together as a production crew, students will take a project from idea to screen while learning storytelling, camera operation, composition, lighting, audio, directing, production, and video editing.
Students will have the opportunity to work with professional cameras, lighting, audio, and filmmaking equipmentwhile learning directly from an experienced filmmaker and former high school video production teacher.
Over the six weeks, students will:
Develop and write a short-film concept
Learn professional camera, lighting, and audio techniques
